“Happiness is an inner state of being. It has nothing to do with “having” or “achieving”. It is a choice. We can choose at each moment how we want to experience life.” – Amira
Since when do you write? Can you explain it in a few lines and state in which city do you live?
I enjoyed writing since I was a teenager, especially poetry, but my writing never came out from my personal journals. At the time I lived in Uruguay, now I live in Canada in Vancouver Island.
In May 2016 I decided to start a blog, and for the first time I was able to share my ideas, perspectives, feelings and experiences in this way. This has been a very satisfying experience which has opened the door to establishing some very nice friendships in different countries.
Do you consider that in the current Pandemic, loneliness influences your network of contacts and reading (whether a physical book or digital reading) In your opinion Has it increased?
Yes, it has increased. When the world came to a total halt in such an unexpected way for all, we suddenly found ourselves with more time because many of our daily routines suddenly changed. Consequently, many people have been able to devote that extra time to introspection, reflection and reading.
When publishing digitally, does it change your methods of inspiration or work? Do you consider that accessing a reader reading on Tablet, computer or mobile in different spaces (e.g. the Barcelona area receives 250 million users/year by train/bus/meter) can be a decisive space for your writing or reading?
I think it is a great way to be able to network by whatever means current technology offers us so that each individual depending of their schedules can find the time to connect and find moments of inspiration through reading.
Do you think that Gobblers’ search for that digital reader from the great urban areas is right? What do you think about it?
Yes, of course it is a very good idea, it offers the possibility to large urban areas and even to different countries, to attract more readers and at the same time join across borders allowing us a faster and more global connection.
Participation as a writer in Gobblers’: What did it bring you?
This is my first experience here, and I am very grateful for this wonderful opportunity to connect with others, learn together, share experiences, grow inwardly and expand our perspectives. And why not, maybe also make some new friends.
